BAAR, Switzerland (Press release) – Manas Petroleum Corp. announced that, effective November 22, 2011, it has retained General Research GmbH to provide investor relations and corporate communications services in Europe.
General Research is a consulting firm based in Munich, Germany and managed by Dr. Georg Hochwimmer, an investor relations professional with over 10 years of experience providing investor relations services for public companies. Manas has retained General Research until November 16, 2013 pursuant to a written agreement in which General Research has agreed to assist Manas in organizing road shows, assisting Manas with investor presentations and other activities intended to increase the Company’s profile in the capital markets. In return, Manas has agreed to pay to General Research a monthly retainer of €5,000 plus out of pocket expenses and it has granted options to purchase 500,000 shares of common stock at an exercise price of US $0.20 per share, which is higher than the closing price, last sale of the day on November 22, 2011, on the OTC BB; these options are to vest in four instalments on the sixth, twelfth, eighteenth and twenty-fourth months following the date of grant.
Manas Petroleum is an international oil and gas company with primary focus on exploration and development in South-Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Mongolia. In Kyrgyz Republic, Manas has signed a US$54 million farm-out agreement with Santos International, a subsidiary of one of Australia’s largest oil and gas companies. In addition to the development of its Kyrgyz Republic project, Santos is developing the company’s neighbouring Tajikistan license under an option farm out agreement.
