ASTANA (Bernama) – An international forum on Eurasian culture aimed at strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries will be held in Astana on June 15.
The Forum, initiated by Kazakhstan, is to enhance spiritual and values surrounding the cultural consolidation of the artistic and humanitarian community of CIS, provision of the development of Eurasian unity in cultural diversity, as well as to strengthen intercultural dialogue and tolerance in the Eurasian area.
The forum is organised by the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan and Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS (IFESCCO).
Attendees will include ministers of culture and heads of IFESCCO, heads of diplomatic missions and government agencies, national cultural institutions and delegations from the humanitarian community, as well as members of the Kazakh Parliament and prominent figures of culture and arts in Kazakhstan.
A Culture of Kazakhstan: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow exhibition will be held within the framework of the forum at the Palace of Peace and Accord.
