URUMQI (Xinhua) — The Kazakhstan-China pipeline has transported more than 5.34 mln tonnes of crude oil to China in the first half of 2020, according to the PetroChina West Pipeline Company.
The transported volume has remained stable year on year, despite the impacts of COVID-19, said the company based in Urumqi, northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
With a total length of more than 2,800 km, the pipeline was commissioned in 2006. According to its operator, it has since carried some 130 mln tonnes of crude oil to China.
