ASTANA (Interfax-Kazakhstan) — Dastan Sartayev became Kazakh chief military prosecutor on the Prosecutor General’s orders upon approval by the country’s president, the press office of the Prosecutor General’s Office said on Wednesday.

Following the consultations with the Head of State the Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan has decreed to appoint State Councillor of Justice, 3rd class, Dastan Sartayev as Chief Military Prosecutor of Kazakhstan.
Dastan Shaymerdenovich Sartayev was born on August 27, 1959 in Yany-Kurgan settlement of Kyzylorda Oblast. In 1981, he graduated from Law Faculty of the Kazakhstan State University named after Kirov, the candidate of jurisprudence. After graduation from the university he worked in the bodies of the Office of Public Prosecutor of Zhambyl oblast. Since 1998 till March, 2008 D. Sartayev worked as Public Prosecutor of Zhetysus region of Almaty, the first assistant of the Public Prosecutor of Akmola oblast, and Public Prosecutor of Mangistau and Aktobe oblasts.
