ALMATY (Reuters) – BTA , Kazakhstan’s third-largest bank by assets, met a $166.4 million bond coupon payment, making good on its pledges to investors to respect its obligations, the bank said in a statement on Friday.

JSC BTA Bank (former Bank TuranAlem or Turalem) is the third largest lender in Kazakhstan by assets. BTA Bank has 9 partner banks in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia and representative offices in China, Ukraine, the UK, Russia and the United Arab Emirates.
