BAIKONUR (Ruptly) — Expedition 58/59 crew arrived at the Baikonur Cosmodrome launch pad ahead of their launch to the International Space Station (ISS) on Monday.
The crew, consisting of Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko, NASA astronaut Anne McClain and Canadian Space Agency’s David Saint-Jacques, were seen blowing kisses and giving the thumbs-up to as they boarded the Soyuz MS-11 spacecraft.
The expedition will be the first manned mission to the ISS after the previous launch failed on October 11.
