Iraqi Prime Minister Resigns

BAGHDAD (Al Jazeera) — Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi has officially submitted his resignation to parliament, but this has not helped to calm the demonstrations in the country.

The protesters clashed with security forces after trying to block a road to Baghdad. According to medical authorities, three protesters were shot and at least 58 injured during demonstrations.
