BAGHDAD (Ruptly) — The Iraqi Council of Representatives adopted November 7 as the day for its dissolution, Baghdad, Wednesday.
The parliament also voted on this year’s draft federal budget later the same day.
Deputy from Kurdistan Democratic Party Dana Al-Katib said:
Of course, this issue was in response to the people’s demands regarding early elections. That is why we voted to dissolve Parliament on 7 November, provided that the elections are to be held on 10 November, and if they are held on this date, the parliament is considered cancelled, and if the elections are postponed, it will resume its work until the elections are held.
