TEHRAN (IRIB via Ruptly) — An Iranian-made Zafar satellite failed to reach orbit on Sunday after launching from Semnan Space Centre on board a Simorgh rocket.
Although the rocket successfully took off, it did not reportedly reach sufficient speed to place the satellite into its intended orbit.
The last four Iranian satellite launches have now failed, with the previous instances taking place in January, February, and August of 2019.
