BERLIN (Ruptly) — German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas will visit Tehran next week to talk about the implementation of the 2015 nuclear deal, said German Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Adebahr during the weekly press conference in Berlin on Thursday.
“This journey has been agreed upon and of course co-ordinated with the partners in Paris and London, and it was also discussed with the United States”, said Adebahr.
“The unity between the USA and Europeans, the USA and Germany, is generally correlated regarding Iran’s foreign affairs in the region, a role that we criticise a lot because it is an expansive and escalating role”, added German Government Spokesperson Steffen Seibert.
Seibert also announced a meeting between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan next Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations and the situation in the region.
