NUR-SULTAN / ex ASTANA (Interfax-Kazakhstan) — The Kazakh Central Elections Commission will present a plan for the early presidential election in the coming days.

The list of candidates for the upcoming presidential elections in Kazakhstan will initially be determined from among those who are part of the power system, there will be no new faces among the candidates, Kazakhstan political analyst Dosym Satpayev told Interfax-Kazakhstan.

New Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is likely to be the strongest candidate in the upcoming early presidential election, Kazakh political scientist Daniyar Ashimbayev said.

Kazakh Senate Speaker Dariga Nazarbayeva, the daughter of the ex-President, has commented on her aide’s words that she is not planning to run for president.

The Kazakh People’s Democratic Patriotic Party Auyl (“Village”) will consider its possible participation in early presidential elections, the party’s leader, Ali Bektayev, said on Tuesday.
