ASTANA (Kazinform) – Bakytzhan Zhumagulov, Minister of Education and Science, announced at a government session that he expects to provide e-learning to more than five million Kazakhstanis.
According to him, 581 organizations are involved into the project. In line with the education development state program, half of the educational institutions of the country will be engaged in the project by 2015 and 90% of them are believed to join by 2020.
E-learning has application in a wide range of sectors from preschool, elementary school, college, higher education, corporate and professional. For Mr. Zhumagulov, “this is a large-scale project that will cover more than five million people, including students, teachers and parents as well. E-learning will be used at all levels – from kindergartens to universities and research centres.”
