Ashgabat, the Turkmen capital, recently hosted an international forum on the promotion of security and stability in neighbouring Afghanistan. The conference was attended by representatives from around the world, but was primarily focused on the Central Asian nations as part of the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA).
