BERLIN (DW News) — In Lebanon, protests against the political establishment have left one police officer dead and more than 100 people injured. Demonstrators stormed government ministries and the headquarters of the national banking association.
Tuesday’s massive explosions in Beirut’s port are widely seen as a consequence of political corruption and incompetence. The blasts killed over 150 people and injured thousands more.
