NEW DELHI (WION) — A major mishap at India Kozhikode airport has left 18 people dead and over 100 injured after an Air India Express aircraft arriving from Dubai crashed at Calicut International Airport.
An Air India Express Boeing 737 aircraft crashed while landing amid heavy rain. The plane approached the airport twice due to adverse weather conditions.
The plane had 184 passengers on board, including 10 babies, two pilots and four crew members. The plane was en route from Dubai (UAE), performing a flight under the program of repatriation of Indian nationals stranded abroad amid the coronavirus pandemic.
