5 Years after ISIS Onslaught, Yazidis still Search for Victims

Saturday 3 August 2019

BERLIN (DW News) — In August 2014, the Islamic State began a campaign of genocide against Iraq’s Yazidi minority. The Sinjar region, the Yazidi’s ancestral home in northwestern Iraq, was liberated from the extremists in November 2015, but five years on, many Yazidis still live in refugee camps and thousands remain unaccounted for.

DW’s Birgitta Schülke met Yazidis still looking for answers.
