UNESCO to hold an inventory of intangible cultural heritage in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek (24.kg news agency) – UNESCO will hold an inventory of intangible cultural heritage in Kyrgyzstan, the secretariat of the National Commission for UNESCO in the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

According to its staff, the work will start at Manas Ordo National Complex where a digitizing intangible heritage of three nearby villages of Talas region will also be hold. The secretariat noted that the issue of intangible cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan safeguarding demands immediate action to develop a set of activities including materials collection, their digitization, publishing, studying at the state level for its preservation and transmission to future generations.
