MOSCOW (TASS) — The First Deputy General Director of Russian Railways Alexander Misharin said his company may take part in the modernization and construction of railways in Kyrgyzstan.
According to Alexander Misharin, within the North-South transport corridor, Russian Railways is now making a rationale of investments in modernization and new construction. He noted that his company was interested in developing cooperation with Central Asian railways:
One of the most important areas of our cooperation is the development of transit traffic from the Far East to the countries of Central Asia and vice versa, and the development of projects in Central Asia is Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and others.
