MOSCOW (TASS) – Russia will grant a US $25 mln credit to Kyrgyzstan on a non-repayable basis, news reports said on Wednesday.

A related agreement was signed in Bishkek between Russian Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Storchak and his Kyrgyz colleague Olga Lavrova. They voiced hope that the move will contribute to the stabilization of a socio-economic situation in Kyrgyzstan. The exact use of this loan was not revealed.

Russia has repeatedly signalled its readiness to lend comprehensive support to Kyrgyzstan, Russia’s staunch Central Asia ally.
