BISHKEK (Trend) — The Kyrgyz Parliament’s Committee for Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security considered and approved the draft law ratifying the agreement on the procedure of formation and implementation of the budget of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Kyrgyz media reported on Oct. 2.

In connection with India’s and Pakistan’s entry into the SCO, the order of forming the organization’s budget has changed, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Finance Adylbek Kasymaliev said. Under the new agreement, Kyrgyzstan’s share in the SCO budget is decreasing from 10 to 8.8%.

For Kyrgyzstan, and its regional partners in SCO, international security is the dominant preoccupation.
