TEHRAN (Financial Tribune) — A delegation from Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Health visited Iran last Sunday within the framework of a memorandum of understanding on joint cooperation in the field of healthcare, medicine and medical equipment between the ministries of health of the two countries.

During the two-day trip, it was decided to establish a bilateral working group that will work to create conditions for the entry of Iranian products into the pharmaceutical market of Kyrgyzstan.

Citing a press service of the Kyrgyz ministry, Trend News Agency reported that the Kyrgyz delegation got acquainted with the conditions of two pharmaceutical plants for the production of medicines, one of which specializes in biological preparations and biosimulators used for the treatment of cancer and another plant for the production of medical equipment.

The Kyrgyz delegates noted that the production of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment in Iran was at a very high qualitative level and that prices of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment are affordable.

They also noted that the import of Iranian pharmaceutical products and medical equipment will positively affect the availability of drugs and medical equipment in Kyrgyzstan.

The Iranian side was invited to participate in the 13^th international exhibition titled Medicine-MedExpo 2018, which will be held on April 10-12, 2018, in Bishkek, with a view of showcasing Iranian medical products.
