GDP of Kyrgyzstan Grew by 6.3% for the First 9 Months of 2015

BISHKEK — The GDP of the Kyrgyz Republic grew by 6.3% in the first 9 months of 2015, deputy chairman of the National Statistical Committee Dzhanbulat Baizhumanov said at today’s press conference.
According to him, in January-September period, the total amount of the GDP reached 293 bln soms. However, by excluding enterprises developing the Kumtor deposit, growth is more modest: 4.3%. The major share for the increase of the GDP was services sector: 48%, while industry’s share about 16%, agriculture some 16%, and construction about 7%.
“The volume of industrial production from the beginning of the year amounted to 127 bln soms. Compared to 2014, it grew by 17.4%. Without companies developing Kumtor deposit, there is 2% increase. This year we are pleased with the volume of production in agriculture — 155.9 bln soms. The increase amounted to 6.1%”, Dzhanbulat Baizhumanov said.
