77.5 mln Soms Spent on Maintenance of Kyrgyz Parliament

BISHKEK (24.kg news agency) — About 77.5 mln soms were spent on the maintenance of Parliament in September, the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan reported. According to him, total expenditures included spending on administrative office of the parliament.

More than half of the funds — 44.5 mln soms (excluding contributions to the Social Insurance Fund) — were directed on wages. Furthermore, more than 11 mln soms were provided for the purchase of other goods and services, for transportation services (more than 5 mln), for official business (4.4 mln soms). The remaining funds went to pay for utilities and communication, repair.

Pre-election campaign in Kyrgyzstan began on September 4 and coincided with the regular session of Parliament. However, the deputies failed to muster a quorum and cancelled all meetings till the end of the election. However, the deputies continued to receive wages.
