6th International Investment Forum Began in Astana

ASTANA (KazInform) — The 6th international investment forum "Astana Invest-2015" began in Astana. It is expected that Kazakh and foreign companies will sign memorandums totalling $1.99 bln within the framework of the event. Heads of the ministries and departments of Kazakhstan, heads of the regions, representatives of Kazakh and foreign big business, international experts and investors, trade chambers and associations take part in the work of the forum held from October 28 through October 30.

Astana Invest 2015
VI International Investment Forum “AstanaInvest 2015” is held in Astana, Kazakhstan on the 29th of October 2015. Earlier Forum was one of the events of the Astana Economic Forum. This year Astana Invest 2015 is held as a separate forum for the first time and includes different business and cultural events.

“The forum is held in order to have a constructive dialogue between the Astana administration, key participants of business processes in Kazakhstan and big players of the world market for ensuring maximum favourable conditions for development of the capital city of Kazakhstan and the country in general. The key tasks include assistance in attraction of foreign investors, reconstruction and development of the existing assets, promotion of new projects. An exhibition of investment projects of industrial parks and zones will be organized within the forum”, the organizers told.

Astana has become a byword for dynamic changes in the economy of present-day Kazakhstan. Today, the capital city of is a town of the future, which opens possibilities to create ambitious projects due to its economic and business potential. Favourable investment climate contributes to the development of not only the city’s economy, but also sustains construction of new production facilities and implementation of innovative technologies. Astana is advancing every year and it can be certainly called an investments attraction centre. Therefore, it was decided to hold an independent event Astana Invest 2015 separately from Astana Economic Forum. It is aimed to keep further focus of potential investors on investment opportunities and breakthrough projects of Astana, attracting investments to the capital city.

Astana Invest 2015 is a platform for meetings between representatives of local establishment and foreign and Kazakh business communities to discuss regional investment development. Over 1000 delegates from more than 20 countries participate in the Forum. The guests will go on a tour visiting enterprises of the Industrial Park of SEZ Astana — new city, Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering LLP, Tulpar-Talgo LLP, and Astana Solar LLP. During the site visits, delegates will see plants’ capacities, technologies in production process, as well as discuss the latest achievements and potential of Special Economic Zone.

The Forum opens Astana potential as the Transport and Infrastructure Hub on the Eurasian space along the route of the Silk Road. In addition is announced the initiative on creation of Astana International Medical Hub to share practical knowledge and scientific works between Asia and Europe.

It was noted that the Kazakh-Emirati business forum is organized for the first time within the framework of the Astana Invest this year. The forum is a dialogue platform between Arab investors and the business society of Kazakhstan. Exhibitions and demonstrations called Made in Astana, Smart Astana, Astana EXPO-2017, Modern city transport are organized as well.
