Alisher Ilkhamov is Research Associate of the Centre of Contemporary Central Asia and Caucasus at the School of Oriental and African Study (SOAS), University of London and member of the International Board of the peer-reviewed academic journal Central Asian Survey. He is the author of more than 70 publications.

His article on “Neopatrimonalism, interest groups and patronage networks: the impasses of the governance system in Uzbekistan” was published by Central Asian Survey in 2007.
